New from AvasShop21: Handmade Jamaican Games & Home Décor
Something new has been taking shape at AvasShop21 — a collection made for family game nights, meaningful gifting and homes that carry a little piece of Yaad.
Every piece is handmade by me in North London and rooted in the colours, sayings, games and everyday memories many of us grew up with. This collection brings together playful Jamaican board games, personalised home décor and smaller gifts that still carry plenty of culture and character.
Meet Crocodile & Coconut Trees
Our Jamaican twist on Snakes & Ladders replaces the usual snakes with crocodiles and the ladders with coconut trees. It is colourful, nostalgic and designed to get the whole family laughing, competing and making memories together.
Choose the 46 × 46 cm board from £65 or the larger 60 × 60 cm board from £95. Players and dice are included.

A classic game, handmade with Jamaican colour
For those who love the traditional game, our Classic Snakes & Ladders board keeps the familiar race to square 100 and gives it a bold Jamaican finish. It is available in two sizes, starting from £60.
Two games, one statement board
The Yaad Games Jamaican Heritage 2-in-1 Board brings together two family favourites in one handmade piece. Play traditional Jamaican Ludi on one side, then turn it over for Crocodile & Coconut Trees.
At 60 × 60 cm, this £165 board is made to become the centre of family gatherings — and a keepsake that can be enjoyed for years.

Bring a little Yaad to the table
Our A Little Yaad coasters celebrate Jamaican sayings and familiar island moments in a colourful set of four. Choose four matching designs or mix and match your favourites. The set is £19.99 and is suitable for cold drinks; clean gently with a damp cloth and leave to air dry.
Made by hand, made with meaning
AvasShop21 is a solo handmade business, so each board and home-décor piece is made in limited quantities. If you are shopping for Christmas, a birthday or a family celebration, ordering early gives me the time to make your piece properly — without rushing the details that make it special.
Whether you are bringing Ludi back to family game night, sending a piece of Jamaica to someone abroad or adding more culture to your own home, I hope this collection feels familiar, joyful and unmistakably Yaad.
